Kylie Jenner has appeared to call out her family's contribution to modern beauty standards in a new trailer for the third season of The Kardashians.
The youngest Kardashian-Jenner, 25, said that her family needs to have a “bigger conversation” around beauty standards and how they are portrayed.
“All of us just need to have a bigger conversation about the beauty standards that we're setting,” Kylie said in the trailer. “I don't want my daughter to do the things I did.”
Jenner is mum to daughter Stormi, five, and son Aire, one, both of whom she shares with Travis Scott.
“I wished I never touched anything to begin with,” Kylie added in the trailer. The reality star has previously revealed that she has had lip filler in the past.
“I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I've ever done,” Kylie told HommeGirls Volume 9 in April. “I don't regret it. But I always thought I was cute.”
Kylie added in the HommeGirls interview that a “big misconception” about her is that she’s had “so much surgery” on her face and that she’s been perceived to be a “insecure person” when she “really wasn’t”.
Elsewhere in The Kardashians trailer, Kylie Jenner’s older half-sister Khloe Kardashian is seen opening up about the skin cancer scare she had last year.
The 38-year-old is seen with stitches in her cheek where a melanoma tumour was removed.
“Melanoma is deadly,” she said in a confessional. “This is way more serious than I anticipated it to be.”
Khloe had previously explained to fans that she was fine after they asked about a plaster on her cheek in February.
“I had a tumour removed from my face a few months ago so I wear this for healing and the prevention of my scar getting worse. All is great and healing wonderfully,” she clarified.
It's refreshing to hear Kylie talk candidly about the impossible beauty standards her family has set. Go, Kylie.
